Turkish police attacked the vigil prisoners’ relatives were holding in front of the Gebze Type M Closed Prison and detained 4 people.
The families have been holding a vigil in front of the Gebze Type M Prison since April 9 to amplify the voice of prisoners who are on hunger strikes against the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
The prisoners’ relatives have been systemically attacked every day. This Thursday’s protest was no exception as the police battered and detained 4 people.
Lawyers who went to the prison to support the families were also subjected to police brutality.
The police also deleted footage taken by lawyers and journalists.
