Police attack students in Izmir
Dozens of Kurdish students have been taken into custody at the campus of Dokuz Eylül University in the western province of İzmir on Friday following police intervention on a group of Kurdish students protesting against racist attacks targeting Kurds.
A group of nationalists attacked Kurdish students who opened stands in the campus area to sell daily Özgür Gündem and Azadiya Welat on Thursday.
Around 50 Kurdish students have been taken into custody as police brutally intervened in the protest by Kurdish students in response to yesterday's attack.
Clashes between police and students are continuing. Two students are reported wounded.
