Police attacked mothers in Gebze

The police attacked mothers in Gebze and detained several.

Turkish police attacked the 42nd sit-in held by mothers of hunger strikers in Gebze.

Families of hunger strikers against the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan gathered in Gebze for the 42nd time. The police attacked the protesters again.

Mothers were battered and dragged on the ground. HDP Gebze Co-chair Damla Bagci and Kocaeli province administrator Dilara Ozgonen were detained. Many protesters were wounded on their arms and hands in the attack.

The police also erased photographs and videos taken by the journalists.
