Police raided a number of houses in Izmir early this morning and took two students into custody.

Nazlıcan Yıldız and Emine Ekin, members of the Free Student Initiative Izmir, were taken into custody following house raids. It was stated that the number of detentions could increase.

The students, who were detained on the grounds of an action they participated in, are kept in the Çankaya TEM Branch, where they were taken after their health checks.
