Police stopped convoy on its way to Bingöl

Convoys departing from Diyarbakýr and Muþ were stopped by police on the way to Bingöl where a mass meeting will take place today in protest against yesterday’s attack on Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) building.

The convoy from Diyarbakýr was stopped by police who also fined some of the vehicles in the convoy for unclear reasons. The people in the convoy therewith closed the way to traffic, which caused tension between protestors and police forces. BDP members in the convoy, including DTK (Democratic Society Congress) Permanent Council Member and BDP Diyarbakýr MP Altan Tan, have started a march on the main road.

On the other hand, hundreds of people gathered in front of BDP office in Muþ before they left the city for the meeting in Bingöl. The mass here was also denied permission to leave the city.
