The AKP government continues its political genocide operations without a pause. High school students were detained in Ankara, HDP and DBP members in Hakkari, and many people including children in İzmir. Newspaper distributor Osman Inal was jailed in Van.
ANKARA
Four members of Dev-Lis (Revolutionary High School Students) opened a poster on Yüksel Avenue in central Ankara, which said “No matter what you do, high schools say no to the presidential system.” The students chanted against the ‘one-man regime’ and held a sit-in action. Police forces attacked and detained the students who were later taken to Çankaya Police Headquarters.
HAKKARİ
HDP Yüksekova District Co-chair Nurcan Yaşar, DBP Esendere Co- chair Mehmet Çapraz and Behiye Baki were detained during house raids in Hakkari's Yüksekova district. The todaydetainees were taken to Yüksekova Police Headquarters.
İZMİR
Police forces raided many houses this morning in İzmir's Menemen district. 9 people including a minor were detained during the raids. The detainees were taken to Menemen Police Headquarters.
VAN
Osman İnal, a distributor of Rojeva Medya and Libertarian Democracy newspapers who had been detained in Van on February 5, was referred to court today. With a confidentiality decision on his case, İnal was accused of ‘membership to a terrorist organization’ and sent to court by the prosecution. At court, İnal was formally arrested and sent to jail.
