A political genocide operation has been carried out last night in Istanbul. 

The houses of HDP branch co-chairs in Pendik, Bayrampasa and Besiktas have been searched.

Pendik and Bayrampaşa co-chairs were taken into custody, while Besiktas co-chair was not detained for not being at home during the operation.

Police also carried out raids at the homes of other HDP district executives.

The names of those detained so far are as follows:
