SDF fighters have cleansed the premises of the Political Security Zone south of Raqqa. In clashes throughout the city, 30 ISIS members were killed and 2 bomb-laden vehicles were destroyed.
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters advanced further into the Hisham Bin Abdulmalik neighbourhood south of Raqqa, and have cleansed the Political Security Zone, with four buildings extending over a large area, which ISIS gangs used as military headquarters.
In the clashes in this area, 9 gang members were killed and one bomb-laden vehicle of theirs was destroyed. SDF fighters could confiscate here a great amount of ammunition and arms belonging to the gangs. Fighting still continues around the al-Bistan field in Hisham Bin Abdulmalik neighbourhood.
In clashes between SDF fighters and ISIS gangs which took place south of the historic mosque al-Etiq in 'Old Raqqa' neighbourhood, 8 gang members were killed while many others injured.
3 more gang members were killed in targeted actions of SDF snipers in al-Rawda neighbourhood north-east of Raqqa, while another bomb-laden vehicle of the gangs was destroyed here.
Amid continuous advance of SDF fighters into Nazlad Shihade neighbourhood south of the city, another 7 gang members were killed.
Furthermore, in clashes in al-Barid neighbourhood north-east of Raqqa, 3 more ISIS members were killed.
