In a few weeks the next internationalist long march for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan and a solution to the Kurdish question will take place. The march will begin on 10 February 2024 in Basel. One of the intermediate stops will be Strasbourg, where there will be an internationalist conference. The final destination of the march is Cologne. A large, Europe-wide demonstration will take place there on 17 February.
“For more than eight years, hundreds of internationalists from all over the world have been gathering for a long march in Europe with a clear demand: a political solution to the Kurdish question can only be achieved if the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan is allowed to join in to meet his lawyers and his family and ultimately be free under conditions that allow him to play a role in the search for a just and democratic political solution to the decades-long Kurdish conflict in Turkey,” said the appeal published by the Long March Preparatory Committee.
The committee has now published a video inviting people to participate.
