Eighteen prisoners in Antep Prison, including those on indefinite and non-alternate hunger strike, have been transferred to Kýrýkkale F Type Prison last night.
Among those sent to Kýrýkkale Prison in an unexpected operation is also a sick prisoner Mehmet Barýyanýk.
Asked by Barýyanýk’s family about the reason for the transfers, authorities of Antep Prison stated that the prisoners were transferred to Kýrýkkale upon an instruction by the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday evening.
More than half of the transferred prisons are reported to be those on hunger strike since 12 September.
