Brother of Zafer Sağlam, one of the prisoners on an indefinite hunger strike against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan for 117 days in Silivri No:5 Prison, has sent a letter which stated the following;
“My brother and three comrades of his were handcuffed and forcibly taken to the hospital in the prison complex by the prison administration staff and gendarmeries. Efforts were made to have them treated by use of force but they resisted and refused treatment. The mentioned people tried to break their will by offering them food to eat and break their fast. However, they refused and protested this. My brother Zafer Sağlam told them ‘Why are you holding us in handcuffs here? We will never stray from our path. We refuse treatment and will never be deterred or intimidated’. The prisoners were taken back to prison in the evening.”
