Prisoners in Tekirdağ 1 and 2 F Type jail won their battle against the imposition of a limit in the number of book they could have. The prison authorities had said prisoners could have no more than 10 books in their cells. But the decision was met with strong resistance and protest which went on for days. Indeed many prisoners also went on an hunger strike to fight the imposition.

On Friday the decision of the prison authorities to suspend the new regulation.
