This morning, dozens of activists from Northeastern social centers and ¡Ya Basta! Êdî Bese! reached the Turkish Airlines check-in desk at Venice Marco Polo International Airport to protest against the Turkish state and in solidarity with the population of Rojava.
A big banner reading "Stop Turkish attack! Defend Kurdistan! Biji Rojava" was opened at the desk of the Turkish company that was boarding the luggage of passengers traveling to Istanbul in the morning.
Flyers explaining the reason for the protest were handed to the people in front of the desk and all over the airport, and activists gained several signs of appreciation.
The initiative is part of mobilizations aimed at raising attention to Erdogan's crimes in Northeast Syria and to the attack on the Rojava experience. These initiatives target Turkish institutions in Europe, or those representing Turkish state interests, and business companies that have economic exchanges with Turkey.
The action is part of the week of mobilizations and boycotts in solidarity with the Kurdish people launched by the Defend Kurdistan Italy campaign.
