Protests against Turkish war policy in Europe

In Paris, Marseilles, Toulouse, Stockholm, Vienna, Linz and Graz, rallies and demonstrations took place on Saturday against the occupation of Afrin and the invasion of southern Kurdistan by the Turkish state.

In various cities in Austria, Sweden and France, protest actions were held yesterday against Turkey's war policy against Afrin and Southern Kurdistan.

Protests in Austria

In Vienna, many people gathered outside the Turkish Consulate to protest Turkey's attacks on southern Kurdistan and Rojava. The participants called on the Austrian government and civil society to work for an immediate halt to the attacks and an end to the occupation. Kurds and friends gathered in the main square in Linz and Graz, chanting slogans and distributing leaflets.

Demonstration in Paris

In Paris, hundreds of Kurds and supporters followed the call of the Democratic Kurdish Council of France (CDK-F). The event was attended by representatives of various civil society organizations such as the Peoples Democratic Congress (HDK-France), the Workers' Association ACTIT and the Alevi Federation FEDA.

With flags of the PKK and slogans such as "Fascist Turkish state – out of Kurdistan" people moved determinedly through the center of Paris.

Rally in Stockholm

In the Swedish capital Stockholm, a rally was held protesting against the occupation of Kurdistan.
