A long march was organised in the Lavrio camp, 60 kilometers from Athens, to protest against the international conspiracy which, on 9 October 1998, forced Abdullah Öcalan out of Syria and the subsequent regime of isolation he has been subjected to in Imrali. 

The walk started on Sunday and will last three days. Öcalan photographs together with PKK, KCK and YPG flags were dotting the march all along. 

Activists are marching towards the capital Athens.

In Dresden, Germany, Kurdish youths hanged Öcalan's poster on a bridge. Again the action is in the context of the series of protests organised around the world to mark 9 October 1998 and the isolation regime imposed on Öcalan. 

On Tuesday, the women have organised a rally and meeting.

Ümit Acar remembered in Cologne

On the other hand, a memorial ceremony was held to remember Kurdish youth Ümit Acar in Cologne, Germany.

Acar set himself ablaze to protest against Öcalan's isolation in Ingolstadt on September 27, and to protest the visit to Berlin by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In the commemoration organized by Ciwanên Azad in Cologne, contributes and speeches were made to mark the international conspiracy and the isolation imposed on the Kurdish People’s Leader. 

March in London

In London a march was held to protest against the isolation regime imposed on Abdullah Öcalan. 

British Kurdish Community Assemblies and Kurdish friends supported the march led by the Kurdish Women's Movement.

The march started at Edmonton Angel Corner, and Kurds delivered thousands of leaflets to people in the neighborough. 

The march ended at Seven Sisters Park where Evrim Yilmaz, spokeswoman of Roj Women's Assembly, talked and reminded Umit Acar who had set himself ablaze in Germany. 

Yilmaz said: ”We condemn all the international forces that took place in the conspiracy, today in the 20th anniversary of the 9 October plot”.
