PUK delegation meets with Iraqi President

A delegation from PUK has met with Iraqi President Fuad Masum.

A delegation chaired by Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Politburo Official Mala Bakhtiyar has met with Iraqi President Fuad Masum in Baghdad, capital city of Iraq.

Mala Bakhtiyar stated that they are unconditionally open to talks with all parties for a coalition government.

Bakhtiyar argued that they will be a party to solution for controversial regions, including Kirkuk, within the scope of article 140, and that they will make efforts to solve the problems of peshmergas and to ensure legal assurance for the rights of the Kurdish people.

Fuad Masum reportedly called on the parties to consider the interests of Iraqi peoples and abide by the Iraqi constitution.

In the meantime, PUK and KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) will meet in Baghdad.
