A senior executive of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (YNK), Perwin Babekir, who joined a demonstration in solidarity with Kobanê in Sulaymaniyah city of South Kurdistan yesterday called on all Kurds to support and own Kobanê.

Perwin Babekir stressed that the danger Kobanê is facing today threatens all Kurds and the entire territory of Rojava, as well as Kirkuk and other parts of Kurdistan.

“This is why every single Kurd must own and protect Kobanê the resistance of which resembles the Leningrad of the 2nd World War. We also need to enhance the resistance just like what happened at those times”, Babekir said and also called on human rights defenders in the international area to support Kobanê in order to ensure its liberation.
