PUK President: We will not make concessions to Turkey who martyred our friends

PUK leader Bafel Talabani said, "Three of my friends were martyred by Turkey. We will not make concessions to Turkey."

The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Jalal Talabani, attended a conference in Baghdad. Talabani drew attention to the Turkish state's attacks on the Kurdistan Region and said, "The PKK is not our enemy, and we have relations with them. We have no enmity, not against the PKK or against any Kurdish party in the Kurdistan Region. The Turkish state's attacks on the region continue. The Turkish state murdered 3 of my friends who fought against ISIS. Therefore, the Turkish state should review its intelligence and military situation."

Referring to the decisions taken by the Iraqi Federal Court, Bafel Talabani stated that the decisions taken by the Iraqi Federal Court regarding the parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region were heavy because the elections held in the region in the past years were conducted unfairly.

Stating that some forces want American forces to leave Iraqi territory, but according to the new agreement, the forces should remain in Iraq, Talabani said, "America should know very well that Iraq wants to develop relations with other countries in the interests of its country. Washington needs to understand this."
