The celebration began with a minute silence to pay tribute to the martyrs of freedom.

The opening speech was made by PYD Stuttgart representative Abdin Reşit and was followed by the speech by Zozan Rojava, PYD European representative.

Reminding that the PYD was established under very difficult conditions, Rojava said: "Today, there is a serious attack carried out by the AKP-MHP fascism both in Rojava and in Turkey where some HDP-run municipalities were seized. However, Erdoğan and the whole world should know that he will not be able to defeat us."

FCK co-chair Sait Ozturk said the struggle will continue.

Stuttgart Partiya Yekîtîyen Kurd Syria and Goran representatives called for unity.

Group Mir, Zinar Rojava, Xelil Xemgin and Hozan Simar took the stage after a video about the history of the PYD.
