The Democratic Union Party (PYD) has issued a statement to condemn what it calls the "blatant bloody interference in Syrian people affairs in general and Kurdish people in particular either by Salafist groups or by Turkish regime itself". The "interference" the PYD refers do has to do with claims that Turkey is actively promoting and aiding external paramilitary groups entering Syria and in particular the Kurdish region. The PYD calls "on our people to adhere to their land, their homeland and defend it".

The PYD also calls on people not to leave the country and on the international opinion to voice their condemnation about Turkish interference.
