The PYD (Party of Democratic Union) European representative, Zuhat Kobanê, attending a conference organised by the PYD Norway representative in Oslo, evaluated the latest developments in Kobanê and the meetings held by the PYD with the USA and European states.

 Zuhat Kobanê stated that in Rojava for the Kurds a new process has started, and that the USA and European states now understood the reality that YPG is the only force capable of combatting ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham) gangs. Recalling that their meetings with the USA and other powers were no longer secret, Kobanê stated that this means that the Kurds are now actors in the Middle East.

Kobanê added that although France and some other European countries wanted to provide military aid to Kobanê, none had yet been received. Zuhat Kobanê said that although the ISIS gangs had suffered heavy blows in recent days, there is still a dangerous situation in Kobanê. He said that material aid from Kurdish people living in Europe and their rallies gave morale and strength to the people of Rojava. Kobanê added that the material and moral support had to continue.

The seminar was organised in the Holmlia neighbourhood of Oslo. Kurds from all 4 parts of Kurdistan and Kurds from different fractions and political parties attended the seminar. The second part of the seminar continued with a question and answer session. The seminar started at 17:30 and continued for 3 hours.
