PYD's Muslim: Astana meeting is an international game that will fail

PYD Co-chair Salih Muslim stated that the Astana meeting organized by Russia, Iran and Turkey is an international game that will fail.

Democratic Union Party (PYD) Co-chair Salih Muslim spoke at the 2nd Congress of the party's Dirbêsiyê branch organisation today.

Commenting on the talks held by Turkey, Iran and Russia purported to be seeking a solution to the Syrian question, Muslim said; “These parties are acting in accordance with the interests of their own, not for the interests of the peoples in Syria. This is why they have not invited us to Astana talks. They know that we seek to build a free and democratic Syria.”

PYD Co-chair stressed that no party will be able to deter them from producing a political solution as long as they exist on Syrian lands, adding: “Our goal is to ensure that people make their decisions themselves.”
