Speaking to Nuçe TV on Saturday night on the current situation in the West Kurdistan city of Serêkaniyê, Democratic Union Party (PYD) Leader Saleh Muslim pointed out that the Turkish government is supporting the armed groups attacking on Kurds in the city with an aim to invade the West Kurdistan territory.
Muslim remarked that the mentioned armed groups broke their promise by not leaving the city and not ending attacks on Kurds in accordance with the ceasefire they demanded following the clashes in November. "These armed groups aren't independent structures that act according to their own decisions. The reason why they attacked once again after the ceasefire is the fact that Turkish authorities had a meeting with them and asked them to attack on the Kurds in the city", Muslim underlined and noted that Turkey applied pressure on these armed groups and threatened to stop supporting them unless they acted in accordance with the purpose for which they were sent to there.
Responding to the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoðlu who has recently said that "Turkey would respect an independent Syrian parliament's decision on federation for Kurds in Syria", Muslim said that; "First of all, it is not Davutoðlu but the peoples of Syria who will decide whether the new Syrian parliament to be formed will be independent or not. We heard the same statements from some opposition groups earlier, which shows that such arrangements are built by some certain central forces. On the other hand, Davutoðlu should know his place and stop pretending to respect the parliament of other countries for he should first respect his own parliament and its members".
