The AKP-MHP fascism continues with its threats against different faiths. After Malatya, homes of Alevis are being marked in Istanbul now.
On November 22, 13 homes where Alevis live in Cemal Gürsel neighborhood of Malatya were marked with red paint. Alevis believed police was responsible for the incident and said, “We will not stray from the path of resistance.”
Home of another Alevi family has been marked with racist symbols and writings in Kocasinan neighborhood in Istanbul’s Bahçelievler neighborhood last night. The racist marks include the “three crescents” symbol of the nationalist party MHP and a writing that reads “Get out, infidel” and “Islam”.
The Alevi family told that they had the “Islam” inscription in the “Religious Affiliation” section on their identification cards removed one year ago, but policemen wrote back “Islam” with a pen in this blank a few months ago when the family appealed to the security directorate after a thief broke into their home.
