SDF fighters continue their advance in Raqqa. As SDF fighters advance in Nazlat Shihade, several strategic points have been cleared off gangs. Intense clashes also continue in the Rawda neighborhood.
Intense clashes broke out yesterday between SDF fighters and ISIS gangs in the Nazlat Shihade neighborhood to the south of Raqqa and Rawda neighborhood to the northwest. 9 gang members were killed in the clashes, 2 others were wounded and 4 bodies were retrieved by the fighters. In the Hisham Bin Abdulmelik neighborhood, fighters confiscated 2 military vehicles prepared for suicide attacks. A large tunnel used by gangs was also found in the same neighborhood.
Minesweeping efforts continue in the Yarmouk neighborhood. SDF fighters close off the tunnels to prevent the passage of the gangs. Fighters also confiscated some ammunition from the gangs in this neighborhood.
