A group of migrants, the majority of whom are from South Kurdistan, are reported to be marching towards the Polish border to arrive European countries.
The migrants want Poland’s border to be opened and to set foot in Polish territory officially. They demand European countries to open the border gates for them.
According to the data provided by the Lukte Association, which deals with migration issues, 37 thousand Iraqi citizens have migrated abroad in the last 11 months. While 10 people lost their lives, the whereabouts of 12 other people remain unknown.
According to the association, the Qeladize and Ranya districts of Sulaymaniyah are where people want to migrate from the most. They are followed by Soran, Sayid Sadiq, Halabja, Sheladize and Hewler districts.
