Regime forces transfer hundreds of ISIS members to Idlib

The Syrian regime has allegedly transferred over 400 ISIS members in Deir ez-Zor to the Idlib Governorate.

According to the London based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), more than 400 mercenaries near Al-Bukamal city of Deir ez-Zor have been transferred to eastern Idlib by the regime forces Monday morning. SOHR said these ISIS members have been brought to the surroundings of the area where other anti-regime mercenaries are deployed, but did not provide information if the ISIS groups have entered these areas.

Russia, Iran and Turkey have recently made a deal on Idlib which remained on the agenda as the Syrian regime and Russia were about to launch an operation to take the city. The mentioned operation was announced to be postponed on condition of disarmament along 15-20 km between the military forces present in the city by October 15.

The Syrian regime has previously allowed thousands of mercenaries it had encircled to the south and west of the country to cross into Idlib together with their families.
