The sit-in-acts by Human Rights Association (IHD) and relatives of disappeared people continued on the 207th-week with demands for the disclosure of the aftermath of people whose murders still remain unsolved.
Hundreds of people in Diyarbakir, Izmir and Batman have once again repeated their demand for "justice" for disappearances and unsolved murders.
The sit-in-by Human Rights Association (IHD) Diyarbakir Branch was traditionally staged at Kosuyolu Park on Saturday. "Perpetrators are evident, where are the disappeared people?" read the banner of mothers who carried carnations and the photographs of people they lost.
This week's sit-in-act was dedicated to Mehmet Şerif Acar who was shot dead by Turkish soldiers in the village of Ilica, in Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district, in 2002. The sit-in by IHD was also joined by Peace Mothers Initiative, MEYA-DER, KESK, TUHAD-FED, Amed Goc-Der, representatives of various unions as well as hundreds of citizens.
The sit-in by IHD Batman Branch was also joined by hundreds of people including the executives of BDP Batman provincial organization, IHD Batman Branch and KURDI-DER as well as representatives of many non-governmental organizations. Demonstrators have once again demanded justice for the people they lost.
One other sit-in-act by IHD İzmir Branch and Peace Mothers was staged in the western province of İzmir where relatives of disappeared people protested against the Turkish state for not shedding light on the fate of their relatives.
