Rifondazione Comunista in Italy urges international community to act for Öcalan

Rifondazione Comunista in Viterbo (Italy) has issued a statement expressing its concern about the rumours spread on social media regarding the health of Abdullah Öcalan.

Roberta Leoni, from Rifondazione Comunista in Viterbo (Italy) has written a statement titled “What’s happening in Imrali?” Leoni writes: “There are worrying rumours being spread on social media regarding the health of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Ocalan. His isolation is total and lawyers and family members are not allowed to visit him. The Kurdish community is calling on the international community to mobilise.”

Leoni adds: “Rifondazione Comunista Viterbo, expresses its solidarity and invites the democratic forces to put pressure on institutions at all levels to achieve the end of isolation and the reactivation of all communication channels with Imrali.”
