Roboski families postpone the demo in Ankara

The families of Roboski victims have postponed the protest demonstration which was supposed to take place in front of the head office of the ruling AK Party in Ankara on Thursday, 31 January.

Speaking on the subject, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Party Council member Ferhat Encü said they postponed the demonstration considering the oversensitive process the country is going through. Encü said in doing this they wanted to avoid the probability of any kind of trouble.

Encü remarked that in the demonstration a group of students would protest against the scholarship that AKP officials have promised to 40 students from the village of Roboski. “We do not accept these scholarships which they want to give us as hush money”, Encü added.
