Gangs now calling themselves the Islamic State are continuing to attack villages to the east, west and south of Kobanê since 15 September.

According to an ANHA correspondent on the ground, ISIS gangs have carried out a bombardment on the Kobanê Canton centre early Thursday morning. Three rockets launched in the ISIS attack hit the city centre, causing substantial damage but luckily no casualties.

Fierce clashes have been taking place between YPG fighters and ISIS gangs while radical Islamist groups are continuing their bombardment on the villages of Qumçê, Kunheftar, Cadê, Qilheydê, Sêvê to the south of Kobanê since last night.

Clashes in the west of Kobanê have on the other hand intensified in the areas of Dugirman, Boraz, Talik, Zirk, Cibilferec and Girê Zagros.

Heavy clashes between YPG and ISIS are reported to be taking place to the east of Kobanê as well, and to be continuing in the villages of Korikê, Xanê and Aydanê.
