Saleh Mamon, an active member of the Freedom for Öcalan campaign, a University of London academic and a friend of the Kurds of Kenyan origin, has passed away.
Saleh Mamon, who was an active member of the CAMPACC (Campaign Against the Criminalization of Migrant Communities) and the Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan campaign in Britain for many years, has passed away.
Saleh Mamon was especially known for his work for the freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, as well as his fight against ISIS and efforts to have the PKK removed from the list of terrorist groups.
Mamon is also remembered for his contributions to the fight against the criminalization of the Kurdish community in Britain.
In an interview with Medya Haber TV a while ago, Mamon underlined the key role of Abdullah Öcalan and called for increased resistance. Mamon said: "The Turkish state must finally end its role as a terrorist state against the Kurdish people."
