The German Chancellor's spokesperson announced at a regular press conference in Berlin that Scholz will meet with Erdoğan in Istanbul on Saturday 19 October.
Olaf Scholz last visited Turkey in March 2022, a few months after taking office as Chancellor.
The spokesperson said that ‘Russia's war against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East’ would be on the agenda. Migration, economic and bilateral issues will also be on the agenda, the spokesman added, providing no details.
