SDF Commander Lilwa: “The end of ISIS is near”

Operation Cizire Storm Spokesperson stated that they will end ISIS’ presence in Syria with the campaign, adding that the reason for the slow advance of the operation is ISIS using civilians as human shields.

Operation Spokesperson Lilwa El Abdullah stated that they will end ISIS’ presence in Syria with the Operation Cizire Storm, and added that the reason for the slow advance of the operation is ISIS using civilians as human shields. Lilwa El Abdullah also said the Syrian regime forces want to extend the life of ISIS with their attacks on the SDF.

Lilwa El Abdullah pointed out that SDF forces have achieved great victories in the east of the Euphrates River and said: “Our forces have liberated the Al Qishqiya, Al Qahawi, Sinida and Al Jabal villages to the east of Al Buqamal in the last two days.”

Lilwa answered ANF’s questions on the alliance they formed with Russia and Iraq and the joint operation chambers and said: “The purpose of forming joint operation chambers is to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent ISIS gangs from crossing into liberated territories. The purpose of our coordination with Iraqi forces on the Syria-Iraq border is to prevent ISIS gangs from crossing the border.”

“SYRIAN REGIME WANTS TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF ISIS”

Lilwa El Abdullah pointed out that the Operation Cizire Storm faced obstacles by forces that want to prolong the life of ISIS and said: “Syrian regime forces attack our forces in some locations with heavy weapons. This way, they aim to slow down our operation and allow for ISIS to cross into liberated areas.”

Lilwa El Abdullah stated that there are many villages that ISIS controls to the east of the Euphrates River, and that the reason for the SDF’s slow advance in the region is that ISIS uses civilians as human shields.

“THE END OF ISIS IS NEAR”

Cizire Storm Operation Spokesperson Lilwa El Abdullah pointed out that the citizens from Deir ez-Zor showed great interest in the SDF and that there are a lot of people who join the SDF. On the people returning to their lands, she said: “People have returned to the areas that have been liberated and cleaned of landmines.”

Lilwa El Abdullah added that the SDF is made up of all the peoples of Northern Syria and is the common defense force for all of them. She continued: “Syrian Democratic Forces are the only force that embraces Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Turkmens and all groups. Our forces are fighting the enemies of the peoples’ freedom. We will defeat terror everywhere. We will fulfill the calls of the Syrian peoples and liberate them from terror, and build a democratic Syria. Soon we will be heralding the complete liberation of the region from ISIS gangs.”
