The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are making further advances in the Operation Cizire Storm, which has been relaunched in the eastern rural areas of Deir ez-Zor near the Syria-Iraq border on May 1.

As part of the ongoing campaign, SDF fighters have reached the Euphrates river and surrounded village of Baghous, which is the last point linking ISIS territory to Iraq.
