SDF fighters rescue three 'child soldiers' from ISIS near Raqqa

SDF fighters advancing in northwestern Raqqa in the ongoing Operation Wrath of Euphrates have rescued three 'child soldiers' held by ISIS.

Fighters affiliated to the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have conducted an operation on a village as they make further advances liberating areas to the northwest of Raqqa.

During the operation, SDF fighters have rescued three 'child soldiers' held by ISIS, and seized the arms given to them.

SDF combatants stated that ISIS gangs made civilians serve as human shields for themselves, and also used children to this end. According to the SDF fighters, many locals linked to ISIS in this region have surrendered to the SDF.

The rescued children stated that they were forcibly detained and armed by the ISIS.
