Young fighters in Raqqa said they want put in practice what they learned in training courses
The Raqqa Martyr Abid Brigade fighters, who finished their training sessions, spoke to ANHA news agency.
The new fighters stated that their duties were not merely to defend the city of Raqqa, but to fight everywhere where oppression and tyranny are.
Birusk Hemade said that the purpose of the training was to carry out political, ideological and military studies.
Hemade confirming that the training session had been very useful, said: "We have come to put in practice what we have learned in the training sessions. We will protect our lands from all attacks”.
A fighter called Sef Raqqa added: "Our vision is not just to defend Raqqa. We are ready to comply with our defense duty all over the country. We will follow the path of the martyrs”.
Isa al-Salih, another fighter, confirmed: "We are children of the entire Syria. Which is why we will defend children all over Syria, not just in Raqqa”.
Self-Defence is a strategic component of the new model of autonomous society being put in practice in the Northern Syria Federation-Rojava and it is a model which is being extended in other parts of Syria, because it has proved viable not just for Kurds.
