Seven people have been detained as result of house raids in Viranşehir district of Urfa province.

A number of houses in the district were raided by security forces in the early hours of the morning. Seven people were taken into custody for allegedly participating protest demos in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance last month.

The detainees have been taken to the district police headquarters.
