Nine youths who were taken into custody as result of house raids in Yeşildere, Mezarlık and Esentepe neighborhoods in Yüksekova district of Hakkari on 5 December have been referred to Yüksekova Courthouse late yesterday.

Two among them were released after bearing testimony to the prosecutor while the other seven were referred to a court, demanded to be arrested.

All the seven youths, Erdem Kızıldoğan, Zafer Dara, Gökhan Saygı, Ekrem Yiğit, Vedat Orhan, Veli Cindal and Uğur Sürucüoğlu, were remanded in custody and sent to Hakkari Closed Prison for allegedly being members of a terrorist organisation.
