Shengal genocide condemned in Sydney

Kurdish people and their friends living in Australian capital city Sydney demonstrated against the Shengal genocide and called for support for Rojava’s Efrîn Canton.

On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the Shengal genocide, a demonstration was staged in Australian capital city Sydney to protest the massacre of Êzidîs and the attacks of the Turkish state and allied gangs on Efrîn Canton of Rojava, West-Kurdistan.

Many Kurds and their friends joined the protest action upon the call of the NSW-Democratic Kurdish Society Center (NCDK).

NCDK co-chair Timur Xerzan spoke on behalf of the organizing committee and called on the people to give the same support for Efrîn Canton as they did for Kobanê during the siege of ISIS.

Xerzan addressed to Amnesty International, the United Nations, European Union, the Australian state and Civil Society organisations to recognize the Shengal genocide officially.

Slogans as "Long Live Leader Öcalan" and "Murderer Erdoğan" were chanted throughout the demonstration.
