Local people in Doğubayazıt and Diyadin districts of Ağrı have taken down the shutters today to protest against yesterday's military operation of the Turkish army at Mountain Tendürek.

HDP Diyadin former co-chair Cezmi Budak and a HPG guerrilla have lost their lives in the operation as clashes continued throughout the day.

Only the bakeries and pharmacies remain open in both districts where Turkish police have taken intense security measures.
