Shops did not open in Yüksekova today to protest the killing on Friday of Mehmet Reşit İşbilir and Veysel İşbilir as well as the attack on their funeral which left Bemal Tokçu severely wounded.

The police attacked the crowd on Saturday after the two Kurdish civilians were laid to rest and people left the cemetery following the speech by BDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş.

Reşit İşbilir (35) and Veysel İşbilir (34) were shot dead by Turkish police during a demo in Gever.
