Hundreds of people in Siirt have taken their way to Harekol Mountain to stop the military exercise being performed around the skirts of the mountain.

The military exercise in the rural areas of İğneli (Mexês) in the village of Yeni Aydın (Rûbar) started yesterday and will last three days.

Among those heading toward the area are BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Party Council member Saadet Becerikli, BDP Siirt provincial chair Mehmet Ata, Mayor of Siirt Selim Sadak, BDP Siirt provincial and district organizations, as well as activists of TUHAD-DER, MEYADER, MKM and Peace Mothers Initiative.
