Instead of arresting counter forces who are roaming the streets of Amed city center and murdering civilians, Turkish police raids Equal Free Citizen Association offices to trash and seize organizational documents.

Special ops police forces carried out simultaneous raids this morning to Equal Free Citizen Association offices that are located in İskender Paşa, Fatih Paşa, Hasırlı, Körhat, Mevlana Halit, Şêx Şamil and Gaziler neighborhoods in Amed. Accompanied by armed vehicles, masked police officers broke association office doors to trash and seize organizational documents.

No association member has been arrested so far but many organizational documents have been seized or destroyed during the raids. Police has burned down the association office in Şêx Şamil neighborhood during its raid. It has also been reported that the police located in Sur district chose not to intervene in counter groups that murdered Fesih Çınar yesterday. According to reports, police officials raiding the association office in İskender Paşa neighborhood communicated in Arabic.

Residents in Amed have found bullets and 'X markings' in front of their houses this morning

Another worrisome news came from Amed today. Numerous residents in Şêx Şamil neighborhood, where there is a Free Citizen Association office, found bullets and ‘X markings’ in front of their houses this morning.
