Turkish forces carried out simultaneous house raids in Suruç district of Urfa this morning.

While the raids in the town center were participated by the police, the raids in rural areas were carried out by the gendarmerie.

Six people were taken into custody in the operation, while two others were not found at their addresses.

The reason for the detentions has not been learned yet and the detainees have been taken to Urfa provincial security directorate.
