Six people have been taken into custody following simultaneous house raids in the province of Batman late on Wednesday and early on Thursday morning.

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) members Şehmus Savdi, Emin Mendi, Şemsettin Tunç, Kerem Çiftçi and one woman was detained in yesterday's operation.

BDP district executive İdris Sunar has been taken into custody in today's operation in the town of Bekirhan in Kozluk.

Six detainees have been taken to the police headquarters.
