Six soldiers of the Turkish army were injured in clashes between People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas and the Turkish military in Hakkari’s Þemdinli district late Friday.
According to reports received, clashes broke out during the Turkish army operation in the rural areas of Þemdinli. Local sources reported that some soldiers were killed in the clashes in the region of villages of Baðlar, Zorgeçit, Tütünlü and Rüzgarlý where roads were closed to traffic and access to the villages was prohibited by the army. Cobra type helicopters were sent to the clashes area.
The Turkish military also took intense security measures in the district of Þemdinli where armored military vehicles were deployed at entrance and exit points.
On the other hand, HPG guerrillas detained a village guard and a teacher following a road control in Þýrnak’s Beytüþþebap district on Friday, reported Dicle News Agency (DÝHA).
