Six people have been taken into custody following a series of house raids in Şırnak's Cizre district.

Hundreds of police officers and special operation teams took part in the expansive operation which targeted a number of houses in the neighborhoods of Cudi, Nur, Sur, Yafes and Dağkapı. Police teams reportedly broke the doors and and damaged the belongings of the people in the houses they raided.

A total of 55 people have been taken into custody and 45 arrested in Cizre as a result of police raids in the last one month.
