A soldier has been arrested in relation to the killing of 23-year-old Muzaffer Gürül who was raided bullets by soldiers after not stopping at a control point in front of the Abalı (Korxa) Gendarmerie Station on Amed-Bingöl road on Tuesday.

The youth who was on his way from the Ziyaret (Şehit) village in Bingöl's Genç district to the Birlik village in Amed's Lice district was critically wounded after being hit in the head by a bullet.

On demand by the public prosecutor in Lice, an investigation was launched against soldier Erkan Göral and another soldier whose name is not disclosed yet, both of whom are on duty at Abalı Gendarmerie Station.

Following the referral of the two soldiers to the Lice court of first instance, Göral was arrested after being found guilty of "killing intentionally", while the other was ordered supervised release.
