A solidarity event was held at Mozart University in Salzburg, to commemorate those who lost their lives in the protests that started after the murder of Kurdish woman Jîna Aminî by Iranian state forces and to show solidarity with the Iranian peoples.

The protests, which left their fourth month behind, were discussed at the event, and solidarity was sent to the Iranian people who are still fighting.

The people attending the event shouted the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" in different languages.

After the speeches, Kurdish, Iranian and Austrian artists offered short musical performances, and a film showing the protests in Iran was screened.

Mozart University Rector Professor Elisabeht Gutjahr also attended the event and gave an emotional speech.
